The Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) became the first sports unicorn in India.  The announcement came on the 30th of January, Sunday.

The team shares owned by CSK Cricket Limited, capped Rs 7,600 crore, more than the parent entity.

The major reasons behind the achievement are the recent win of CSK in IPL 14th edition and the addition of CSK in the 15th edition at price record. Notably, the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the 4th IPL title in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE.)

Meanwhile, launched with parent entity, the share of the CSK is now at 250-300 bands, making it one of the company in unicorn club and only sports entity, which have entered the club in India.
