Team India, led by Captain Shikhar Dhawan won the third One Day International (ODI) match against West Indies, on the 27th of July, Wednesday.

This is the third whitewash win of team India, against West Indies, with a score of 3-0, in the three ODI Math Series.

Captain Shikhar Dhawan scored 113 runs, for team India and also scored the most 50s, in ODIs out of Asia.  He is now equal to the former Indian Captain M.S. Dhoni and has now scored 29 50 + runs, in ODI matches, outside Asia.

The maiden ODI was also a personal achievement for Shubham Gill, who scored 98 runs, and became the man of the series. The brilliant performance of the Indian squad, led by Shikhar Dhawan is gaining a lot of appreciation from cricket fans and netizens.

The final ODI between India and West Indies was held at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain on Wednesday, the 27th of July.  In the match, India scored 225/3 in 36 overs and West Indies scored 137 runs in 26 overs, due to DLF method.

India were 115 for 1 in 24 overs at the time of the first stoppage but once play resumed, the batting team upped the ante, smashing 110 runs in the next 12 overs as Gill looked good for his maiden and scored 98 runs.

After the ODI match, the teams would switch formats but stay in Trinidad for the first T20 International at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba.
