Team England, with its spectacular performance, won the 48th One Day International (ODI) match against New Zealand in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World  Cup finals.

On the 14th of July, England played against New Zealand and scored a total of 241 runs with a loss of 10 wickets, whereas New Zealand also scored 241 runs with a loss of 8 wickets after 50 overs.

As the game ended with a tie, both  teams played a Super Over, following which, both the teams scored 15 runs.  However, New Zealand had one boundary (6 runs) whereas, England scored two boundaries (6X2 runs,) due to which, England became the champion of the ICC series.

This year, the ICC World Cup was hosted by England, which started on the 30th of May and continued until the 14th of July.

Ben Stokes, a player of Team England, was the Man of the Match in yesterday’s match, as he scored 84 runs off 98 balls.

On the other hand, Kane Williamson, a player of the Team New Zealand, was declared as the Player of the Tournament.

With this tremendous win, Team England was crowned the champion of the ICC World Cup 2019.
