The newly added Indian Premier  League (IPL) team Gujarat Titans clinched the 2022 IPL title, after winning against Rajasthan Royals, in the final match, held on the 29th of May, Sunday.

Gujarat Titans won with a seven wicket over Rajasthan Royals in the final match, witnessed by 1,04,859 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Gujarat.  The team scored 131 runs with 11 balls remaining and defeating Rajasthan for the third time in IPL 2022.  This is a historic moment for Gujarat Titans, which made its debut in the 15th edition and won the match under the leadership of Mr. Hardik Pandya.  Furthermore, the newly announced team also had former players of Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad.  The team also head coaching staff comprising of Ashish Nehra (head coach,) Gary Kirsten (mentor and batting coach) and Vikram Solanki (director of cricket).  The trio has worked together for Royal Challengers Bangalore, previously. 

Mr. Rashid Khan from Sunrisers Hyderabad, Shubham Gill from Kolkata Knight Riders and Hardik Pandya from Mumbai Indians were some strong players in Gujarat Titans. This would also be the first time Hardik Pandya led an IPL franchise.

In addition, Rajasthan Royals scored 130/9 in 20 overs and lost to Gujarat Titans, which scored 133/3 in 18.1 overs, seven wickets.

With this final match, the two months IPL 15th edition came to an end on the 29th of  May, Sunday.

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League started on the 26th of March and had approximately 74 games in the course of 2 months.

The 10 IPL teams which participated in the IPL 2022 are: Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knightriders, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings XI.
