Superstar player of Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo became the first person to cross 500 million followers on Instagram, a social media platform.

Recently, on the 22nd of November, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo shared an Instagram post and expressed happiness over such achievement. In his post, Ronaldo said:

Furthermore, following the star footballer’s achievement on Instagram, Piers Morgan took to Twitter to congratulate him as he wrote “Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first person to reach 500 million followers on Instagram, 124 million more than his nearest rival in 2nd place..Lionel Messi. Congrats”.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is busy with the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 which could be the last one in his career so he would look to make it big by winning the trophy for his team, Portugal.

On the other hand, after Cristiano Ronaldo, his rival Lionel Messi is in the second position with 376 million followers, followed by Kylie Jenner (372 million,) Selena Gomez (358 million) and Dwayne Johnson (348 million.)

From India, Indian cricketer and former Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli is the only athlete to be in the list of the top 10 most followed people on Instagram.  As per sources, Virat Kohli has 215 million followers.
