BCCI President Sourav Ganguly Discharged Today, Says Absolutely Fine

Sourav Ganguly, the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was discharged from a Kolkata Hospital.

Mr. Ganguly was discharged from Woodlands Hospital on the 7th of January.

Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian Cricket Captain, expressed his gratitude towards the doctors and the medical staff who attended on him.

Mr. Ganguly said, “I thank the doctors at the hospital for the treatment. I am absolutely fine. Hopefully, I will be ready to fly soon.”

The doctors would be keeping a constant vigil on Mr. Ganguly’s health and appropriate measures would be taken from time to time.

Initially Mr. Ganguly was scheduled to be discharged from the hospital on the 6th of January, but stayed one more day under doctor’s supervision.

Mr. Ganguly was admitted to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata on the 2nd of January, after he reported chest pain. He had undergone angioplasty for the past 5 days and was under supervision.

After he was declared clinically fit, the doctors approved for the discharge.

Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Bannerjee, the BCCI, Harbhajan Singh and other cricketers took to Twitter and wished for the speedy recovery of Sourav Ganguly.

Mr. Ganguly would be under supervision of a team of doctors at his home.
