Yogi Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second consecutive term on Friday, March 25. The oath was administered by Governor Anandiben Patel.

Mr. Yogi Adityanath has become the first chief minister of Uttar Pradesh to return to power after completing a full tenure of five years.
Meanwhile, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also took oath as the deputy chief ministers of Uttar Pradesh. Even though KP Maurya lost the Assembly elections, he has been retained as the deputy CM, while Brajesh Pathak has replaced Dinesh Sharma.

 

Yogi Adityanath sworn in as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for a record second straight term at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and BJP president Amit Shah are present along with the state governor Anandiben Patel. Chief ministers of several BJP-ruled states are also present at the event, along with union ministers, industrialists, and ministers of other states. Anurag Thakur, Dharmendra Pradhan, Rajnath Singh,  Piyush Goyal, Bhupendra Yadav, Smriti Irani, and Hardeep Singh Puri, among others, are also present.

Massive preparations were underway since Thursday for the gala ceremony. Thousands of people have gathered at the Ekana Stadium for the Yogi 2.0 government’s swearing-in ceremony.
