On the 11th of March, the Governor of West Bengal Jagdeep Dhankar, visited Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal at a hospital in Kolkata.

On the arrival of Mr. Dhankar many TMC leaders and supporters shouted slogans of “Go Back. ”

On the 10th of March, Ms. Banerjee, the President of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) was attacked by a few goons. During a campaign rally in Nandigram, a few unidentified people attacked Ms. Banerjee. The incident took place around 6.15 pm when Banerjee was about to leave Birulia Bazar area near Reyapara after offering prayers at a local temple. She alleged that after coming out of the temple, as she was about to get into her car, four or five people suddenly pushed her. Her right leg got trapped in the car door and she fell down,

The incident occurrd hours after Ms. Banerjee filed her nomination for the upcoming Assembly elections from Nandigram constituency.

Mr. Dhankar visitee S.S.K.M Hospital where Ms. Banerjee is currently undergoing treatment.  According to the doctors of the hospital, Ms. Banerjee received injuriesn in her right leg and head.

Meanwhile, the TMC alleged the BJP leaders to be behind the attack.
