Today, the President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang received a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of the Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. President Quang along with an 18 member delegation are on a three day visit to India.

 

 

 

The External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar took to Twitter saying how esteemed guests are welcomed in India. Kumar tweeted, “And this is how we welcome our esteemed guest! Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang was accorded a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of President Shri Ram Nath Kovind and PM Narendra Modi.”

 

Later today, President Quang and PM Modi will hold a bilateral meeting. A number of agreements are expected to be signed at the meet. President Quang will also have an interactive session with prominent Indian businessmen. President Quang aims to strengthen the India Vietnam partnership to ward off China’s growing influence.
