The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) has imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each on 20 jaggery manufacturing units in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.

On the 18th of March, Mr. A.K. Singh, the Regional Officer of the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, said the pollution control board conducted a drive on the 17th of March, Thursday.  During the carried outdrive, the pollution board found 20 jaggery manufacturing units, burning plastic waste.  The waste was responsible for polluting nearby villages and areas in Khedi, Firozabad, Dhansri, and Jatvada.  

In regard to this, the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board imposed a hefty fine.
