Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, on the 4th of February, Friday, filed his nomination papers from the Gorakhpur Assembly constituency.

After a rally, Shah and Adityanath went to the collectorate office for the submission of papers for the election.

He filed his paper in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The filing of the nomination paper was headed by a roadshow and rally. He had represented the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat five times in the past. On Friday afternoon, he addresses the voter awareness convention at Gorakhpur club and also Prabudhdh Varg Sammelan at Nepal lodge.

On Saturday, he will address the Sikh community at Mohaddipur Gurudwara, Pandey added.

Notably, CM Adityanath is contesting the Assembly elections for the first time. He is the sitting MP of Gorakhpur, which will go for Assembly elections on March 3.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections for 403 assembly seats are scheduled to begin from the 10th of February.

The results of the election would be announced on the 10th of March.
