Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, on the night of the 12th of September, was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS.)

This is the third time Mr. Shah was being admitted to the hospital in the past one month. 

On the 2nd of August, Amit Shah tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

He was treated in Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.  He was discharged on the 14th of August.

Later, on the 18th of August, once again Mr. Shah was admitted for post Coronavirus care. 

He left the hospital after 13 days on August 31 after the doctors said the Home Minister had “recovered”. 

The AIIMS, on the 30th of August, issued a statement regarding the same.  It read, “Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, is admitted at AIIMS, New Delhi for post-COVID care. He has recovered and is likely to be discharged in a short time.”

Last night, for the third time Amit Shah, at around 11:00 PM was admitted to the hospital. 

Meanwhile, the monsoon session of the parliament is set to begin from the 14th of September. 

All the protocols of COVID-19 were followed. Face masks, Sanitizerz and COVID-19 negative test results are mandatory for Members of Parliament (MPs) and others participating in the session. 

 Seating arrangements were made considering the social distancing in place.

With 200 out of 785 members of parliament above 65 years of age, and at least seven Union Ministers and two dozen lawmakers recovering from COVID-19. 

In addition, till the 13th of September India recorded 4.6 million cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
