To discuss the Third Front, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will meet Odisha’s Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. A press release revealed KCR will meet his Odisha counterpart in the first week of May to discuss Patnaik’s role in the Third Front.

KCR will travel to Bhubaneshwar to hold discussions on the Third Front with the Biju Janata Dal Chief. The meeting was to be held earlier but Odisha’s Assembly is currently in session. Hence, the discussion between the two chief ministers will be held in May.

Last week, KCR visited former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) Chief H. D. Deve Gowda to discuss the Third Front in Bengaluru. The two ministers went on to make a joint statement to the press stressing on their new plans for India’s politics.

KCR made a call for a Third Front in the political field last month. Currently, the political battle involves two major parties, Congress and BJP. The Third Front would be a third option for voters instead choosing between the Left and the Right.

All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan decided to support KCR.
