Ms. Shelly Oberoi, the mayoral candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won the Delhi Mayor Elections, on the 22nd of February, Wednesday.

Ms. Shelly Oberoi won against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with 150 votes.  In addition, the BJP won a total of 116 votes, making the AAP win the mayoral elections.

After the victory of Ms. Shelly Oberoi, Mr. Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, congratulated her and tweeted, “

गुंडे हार गये, जनता जीत गयी.

दिल्ली नगर निगम में आम आदमी पार्टी का मेयर बनने पर सभी कार्यकर्ताओं को बहुत बधाई और दिल्ली की जनता का तहे दिल से एक बार फिर से आभार.  AAP की पहली मेयर @OberoiShelly को भी बहुत बहुत बधाई.”
