On the 7th of April, Thursday, the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha have been adjourned sine die.

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha adjourned sine die and the Lok Sabha was also adjourned indefinitely as soon as the House met for the day.  The sudden adjournment came amid the ruckus created by the opposition leaders in the parliament budget session.

The Rajya Sabha Chairman Mr. M. Venkaiah Naidu could not read out his customary closing remarks that sum up the business conducted in the House during the session.  Notably, the Shiv Sena leaders and the Indian National Congress (INC) leaders created chaos, disturbing the ongoing session.  While the Shiv Sena Members of Parliament (MPs) sought to raise the issue of an FIR registered against the BJP’s Kirit Somaiya, the INC and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders demanded discussion over the rise in fuel prices and CNG gases in India.  The

Although Mr. Venkaiah Naidu said he has allowed the matter to be raised and asked the MPs to not disturb the proceedings, the MPs continued with their disturbance.

Unable to handle the disturbance, the Rajya Sabha Chairman adjourned the Union Budget Parliament Session 2022-2023.

It is to be noted, that the adjournment came a day ahead of the scheduled end of the Budget Session, which was the 8th of April, Friday.
