Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) on the 20th of April, tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection. 

Rahul Gandhi, 50 years old took to Twitter and confirmed the news and said, “After experiencing mild symptoms, I’ve just tested positive for COVID. All those who’ve been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe.”

Rahul Gandhi was tested positive a day after Dr. Manmohan Singh, a senior leader of the INC and the former Prime Minister of India tested positive for the COVID-19 infection.

As of now, Dr. Manmohan Singh has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and is undergoing treatment.

Recently, Rahul Gandhi was busy campaigning for the Kerala Assembly elections. He also campaigned in West Bengal, where the Assembly elections are underway.

However, in the wake of the rising number of COVID-19 cases, he suspended his campaigns and rallies in West Bengal.
