On the 30th of March, Wednesday, Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) took a dig at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Government.

On Wednesday, Mr. Rahul Gandhi slammed Mr. Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for being ignorant about the general public’s issues and increasing fuel prices.  The INC leader said, “Prime Minister’s daily to-do list – how much increase in petrol, diesel and gas rates, how to stop discussion on people’s expenses, how to show hollow dreams of employment to the youth, which public sector company to sell and how to make farmers more helpless.”

The criticism of the opposition leader came after fuel prices increased for the 8th time in the past one week, which currently increased by Rs 5/ liter.  In metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, the prices of petrol even crossed Rs. 100 mark.

Besides lashing out at the BJP for the rise in fuel and gas rates, the Indian National Congress leader also blamed the BJP Government for unemployment, issuing notice for privatization of public sectors and introducing anti farmer laws.  To raise voice against these issues in the nation, the INC announced “Mehngai Muft Bharat Abhiyan” on the 30th of March.  In this initiative, the INC leaders would launch rallies and march across India, from the 30th of March to the 7th of April.

Furthermore, Mr. Rahul Gandhi also used the hashtag “RozSubahKiBaat” with his tweet attacking the prime minister on a range of issues.
