Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Gets Married To Dr Gupreet Kaur In Private Ceremony

Mr. Bhagat Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was married to Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, on the 7th of July, Thursday.

The bride Dr. Gurpreet Kaur (32,) is a MBBS degree holder from Maharishi Markandeshwar University in Mullana in Ambala district.  In her family, Ms. Kaur is the youngest of three sisters, while the two elder ones are settled in the US and Australia, respectively. 

The wedding ceremony of Mr. Bhagwant Mann was a low key small private affair, as per Sikh rituals at his official residence.  Close friends, relatives, the Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and other close aides of Mr. Bhagwant Mann attended the event.

It is for the first time that a marriage ceremony was solemnised in the Chief Minister’s residence.  Furthermore, Mr. Bhagwant Mann, 48 years old, is marrying for a second time.  He first married, and later divorced his first wife Inderpreet Kaur in 2015.

From the first marriage, the Punjab Chief Minister has two children, daughter Seerat Kaur Mann (21) and son Dilshan Singh Mann (17.)

The announcement of the low key affair marriage was made on the evening of the 6th of July.
