Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi would host a farewell dinner for outgoing President Mr. Ram Nath Kovind on the 22nd of July, Friday, at 5:30 P.M., at Hotel Ashoka in New Delhi. 

Notably, the term of Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, as the President of India is scheduled to end on the 24th of July and would step down from office the same day.  Furthermore, his successor would take oath on the 25th of July.

Mr. Ram Nath Kovind was voted in as India’s 14th President and took his oath of office on the 25th of July, 2017.  

Highlighting the political career of Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, he entered into politics in 1994 after he was elected as a Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh.  He served two consecutive terms for 12 years till March 2006.  Later, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind became the Governor of Bihar between 2015–2017.  

Meanwhile, for the farewell dinner, many BJP leaders, Union Government ministers, and other top officials would attend the dinner, hosted by Mr. Narendra Modi.
