Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, expressed grief over the demise of people in a fire accident at a Civil Hospital of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.

On the 6th of November, Mr. Narendra Modi took to Twitter and posted, “Anguished by the loss of lives due to a fire in a hospital in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover at the earliest.”

On Saturday morning (the 6th of November,) ten people died and several patients at the Civil Hospital of Ahmednagar, suffered injuries.   A major fire broke out at the district civil hospital of Ahmednagar hospital today morning.  The blaze erupted around 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, in the intensive care unit (ICU.)  At least 20 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients were admitted in the ICU.   The reason behind the fire is yet to be known but the officials suggest it to be due to a short circuit.  A detailed report and investigation is underway. 

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Uddhav Thackeray also ordered an in depth inquiry into the incident.
