Om Birla, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, on the 11th of March, revoked the suspension of 7 Members of Parliament (MPs.)

Mr. Birla took the decision to revoke the suspension of the MPs from the Lok Sabha after the Indian National Congress (INC) MPs staged a protest outside the lower House.

The MLAs named Gaurav Gogoi, T.N. Prathapan, Dean Kuriakose, R. Unnithan, Manickam Tagore, Benny Behnan and Gurjeet Singh Aujla were suspended before Holi.  the MLAs were suspended for misbehaving and disturbing the ongoing Lok Sabha.

The protest also occured at the Rajya Sabha in the wake of Delhi riot discussions and ban on two television channels in Kerala for covering riots in Delhi.

Concerned about the situation and uproar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going to speak about the Delhi riots and make a statement regarding the same at 6:00 P.M., today.

The Lok Sabha is discussing the Delhi riots, which killed more than 40 people and left 200 injured.  The discussions were held under Rule 193, following which no debate or voting could take place.
