The Rashtriya Janata Dal senior leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Monday, referring to apparent Shamshan and Kabaristaan comments said that the PM should rise above his party and prejudice and look at things. In a string of tweets, Lalu took a jibe at the PM’s controversial statement. He tweeted, “PM ko dal dur dwesh ki bhavna se upar uthna chahiye. unhe takrar ki nahi pyar ki, todne ki nahi jodne ki, vinash ki nahi vikas ki, batein karni chahiye (The PM should rise above the feelings of party and prejudice. He should speak of love instead of confrontation, of joining people instead of dividing them and of development instead of destruction)”.

Lalu Prasad Yadav made this remarks after the PM Modi’s rally on Sunday at Fatehpur. The PM mentioned in the rally that the Samajwadi Party discriminated between different communities in the state. Modi said, “If a village receives funds for a graveyard, then it should also get money for cremation ground… If you provide uninterrupted power supply for Eid, then you should also do it for Holi and Diwali, as well.”

Speaking about this Lalu added, “Modi says he has no personal interest and was prepared to lift his bag and go away. But he has told us what all is there in his invisible bag apart from top industrialists.” In another Lalu added, “This is a dictator PM who will divide and destroy the country. You are the Prime Minister and you should avoid talking petty and silly things.”

Lalu said, “You are PM. Who has stopped you from constructing crematorium and waive off the farmers’ loan? The man with 56-inch chest should not mislead the country in a cowardly manner,” and added, “The country has never seen a PM who puts party symbol on his chest and talks on religion and caste to provoke negative emotions among the people.”

These comments did not sit well with the BJP, but they have not yet commented on the tweets yet!
