Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. D.K. Shivakumar, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, respectively, would discuss the Cabinet expansion in Karnataka.

After the Indian National Congress (INC) announced the names of CM and Deputy CM, every eye is now on the Cabinet Expansion.  Notably, the Indian National Congress secured a majority of 137 seats of the 224 Assembly seats in Karnataka and dethroned the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)

Now, the CM and Deputy CM, Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. D.K. Shivakumar would hold a high level meeting with the higher command of the INC and decide the Cabinet ministers.  Meanwhile, Mr. D.K. Shivakumar and Mr. Siddaramaiah are set to take the oath of office.  The event is scheduled for the 20th of May, Saturday.  As of now, 8 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) would take oath with the Deputy CM and CM.

According to sources in the Indian National Congress, eight legislators who are likely to be sworn in as ministers along with Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar are: G. Parameshwara , K. H. Muniyappa, K.J. George, M.B. Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy and B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan. 

Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin, Mr. Uddhav Thackeray and other politicians are invited for the oath taking ceremony, which is scheduled at 12:30 P.M., at Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru.
