The Karnataka Government is going to introduce a law against “Love Jihad” in the Assembly session.

Similar to the Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh Government, B.S. Yediyurappa, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, on the 7th of December, said the Karnataka Government would introduce the Love Jihad law, in the next Assembly session and anti cow slaughter bill in the ongoing Winter Assembly session.

Chief Minister Yediyurappa said, “We had introduced the cow slaughter prohibition bill earlier but the Governor sent it back. I have asked (the) Law Minister to introduce it in the current session.”

He further said, “We are thinking to introduce a law against ‘Love-Jihad’ next session.”

Meanwhile, the Karnataka Revenue Minister R. Ashok, asserted, the State Government would discuss the model of the cow slaughter bill with the Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, Government, revise it and bring the bill.

The Karnataka Winter Assembly session started from the 7th of December and would continue till the 15th of December.
