The brand ambassador for Lakme Absolute-India, Kareena Kapoor Khan, stunned those at the event finale with her bare minimum makeup and liquid gold attire. The actress turned showstopper for Anita Dongre,created a memorable finale to the Lakme Fashion Week Summer 2017 show on Sunday.
The event was held at Bandra Fort that added a dramatic touch to the gold and white theme created by the ace designer Anita Dongre. The actress who walked the ramp 2 days ahead of her delivery of Taimur Ali Khan returned to the ramp after 46 days. The actress proved that age is just a number and at 36 made heads turn as she walked in a off white gown paired with a liquid gold jacket made with embellishments.

Donald Simrock, an international makeup artist, who to his credit has big names like Eva Mendes, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears and Cindy Crawford gave the Begum a minimal made up look which brought out her natural glow. For the last Lakme Fashion Week Kareena flaunted her baby bump while walking for Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Speaking to IANS about being the showstopper and providing closure this year, Kareena said, “It feels amazing. It’s just been day 46 (post delivery) and it feels great. The idea is to do what I have been always loved to do, which is work. It is a part of my DNA, it’s a part of me. It’s never going to change.” The theme of the designer was liquid gold, which was inspired by the new Lakme Absolute gold collection that inspires women to be independent, work and make a mark in the world.
The event held at Amphitheater, began on February 1st and showcased over 90 designers including Tarun Tahiliani, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Ritu Kumar and many others at the Reliance Jio Garden.
