On the 21st of November, an army personnel was killed in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan. 

The incident took place on the 21st of November at Rajouri area of Jammu and Kashmir.

Colonel Devender Anand, the Spokesperson of the Defence Ministry of India said, “The unprovoked firing from across the border in Lam area of Nowshera sector took place around 1 A.M., resulting in critical injuries to a havaldar, who died later.”

Indian Army is retaliating strongly to Pakistan’s cease firing violations. According to the bilateral ceasefire agreement signed by the two countries in 1999, maintaining peace and avoiding any kind of ceasefire, which is a violation as per the agreement.

From the 30th of January 2020 till date, as many as 3,200 ceasefire violations occurred. Nearly 30 civilians and officials were killed and more than 110 were badly injured.
