In Australia’s Sydney, an Indian student was attacked by group Khalistani supporters, leaving the victim with serious injuries.

On the 14th of July, Friday morning, four to five Khalistani supporters allegedly attacked the 23 year old Indian student, who worked as a taxi driver in the city. As per the police official, the victim was in his car, when the unidentified mob, said to be Khalistanis, dragged him outside his car and started beating the victim brutally, using an iron rod.  In a statement, the victim said, “Friday morning at 5.30 am when I was going to work some 4-5 Khalistan supporters attacked me.”  Confirming the same, an officer said, “The 23-year-old was allegedly kicked, punched, and hit with the metal pole repeatedly before the four men left the scene in a gray sedan.”  The officer further said, “Shortly after 5.40am on Friday 14 July 2023, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended Rupert Street, Merrylands West, following reports of an assault.”

Furthermore, the victim is admitted to Westmead Hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, the police registered a case and launched an investigation, especially when Australia is reporting a rising number of attacks on Indian students and natives, especially by Khalistani supporters.
