On the 18th of February, India reported 25,920 new cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)

On Friday, the Union Health Ministry confirmed 25,920 new Wuhan virus cases, 66,254 recoveries and 492 deaths in the last 24 hours. The cases were confirmed after conducting 12,54,893 Coronavirus tests, taking the tally to 75.55 crores (75,68,51,787.)

With this, currently India has 2,92,092 active cases, 4,19,77,238 recovered/discharged cases and 5,10,413 deceased cases. The data has been updated on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)

Furthermore, the current recovery rate in the country stands at 98.12%, fatality rate is below 1.20% and active caseload rate is at 0.78%.

Moreover, as of now, the Indian Medical Department has administered 174.24 crore (1,74,64,99,461) vaccine doses to people across India.

Meanwhile, with the declining cases of the Wuhan virus, many states and union territories (UTs) are removing curbs like night curfew, and weekend lockdown. Many states/UTs started reopening schools and colleges.
