The daily cases of the Wuhan virus are rising constantly in India, raising alarming concerns for people and the concerned administration.  In the past two weeks, India is registering over 15,000 cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)

On the 11th of July, Monday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 16,678 new Wuhan virus cases, with 26 fatalities and 14,629 recoveries.  In addition, the Health Ministry also reported recovered cases in the past 24 hours.  India saw a rise of 2,023 daily Covid cases as COVID-19 active cases rose to 1,30,713.

With the data revealed at 8:00 A.M., on Monday, India has a total tally of Wuhan virus cases, of which 4,29,83,162 are recovered/discharged cases, 1,30, 713 are active cases, and 5,25,454 death cases, to date.

Furthermore, the active cases comprise 0.25% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.54% with a 1.20% fatality rate.

Concerned about the rise, many states called for mandatory mask-wearing in public and urged people to abide by the Wuhan virus protocol.

Meanwhile, under the nationwide vaccination drive, India administered a total of over 198.88 crore vaccine doses.
