Ms. Sonia Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress (INC) tested positive for the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)
On the 13th of August, Saturday, the INC General Secretary in charge of communications Mr. Jairam Ramesh confirmed the same, “Congress President Smt Sonia Gandhi has tested positive for Covid-19 today. She will remain in isolation as per Govt. protocol.”
This is the second time Ms. Sonia Gandhi has tested positive for the virus and is undergoing treatment.
Notably, in June, Ms. Sonia Gandhi tested positive for the Wuhan virus and was hospitalised due to the post COVID-19 health complications.
Meanwhile, recently Ms. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus and Mr. Rahul Gandhi also fell ill.
