Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) raised his voice against the communal clashes held in various areas of India, in view of the Ram Navami processions.

Reacting to these fights and communal violence, the INC leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi, on the 11th of April,  urged all Indians to stand together and secure an inclusive India.  He posted a tweet that read, “Hate, violence and exclusion are weakening our beloved country.  The path to progress is paved with the bricks of brotherhood, peace and harmony.  Let’s stand together to secure a just, inclusive India.”

On the 10th of April, Hindus celebrated Ram Navami, the birth of Lord Ram, across India with grand processions.  While in some places, the event was cheerful and smooth, in many cities, it turned violent due to communal clashes.  In Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal and Jharkhand, Muslim Hindu fight over the procession erupted, resulting in deaths and injuries, along with property damage.
