On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conference to wish the people for Ugadi. This festival is a New Year’s Day for the Hindus in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra.

The video conference comes a day after the BJP lost their biggest ally in the South, the Telugu Desam Party. TDP led by Chandrababu Naidu exited the NDA after the Center refused to grant Andhra with a Special Category Status.

PM Modi addressed a gathering at Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh where he spoke about Government schemes. He told the crowd he was dedicated to the Swachh Bharat and the Mudra Yojana.

Modi wished his people and said, “No words can do justice to the valuable contribution of saints and seers to our nation. For centuries, they have served society with utmost diligence and selflessness.”

The TDP has also moved a no confidence motion against the Modi Government after quitting the NDA. But the ruckus in the Assembly forced the Speaker to adjourn the House till Monday.
