After almost three months, the petrol and diesel prices increased on the 22nd of March, Tuesday.  

According to sources, the fuel rates reported a hike of 80 paise in major metropolitan cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Chennai.

Furthermore, with the hike, the petrol price in Delhi is Rs. 96.21 per liter and diesel stands at Rs. 95 per liter.  In Kolkata, the price of petrol is Rs. 105.51 and the price of diesel is Rs. 90.62 per liter.  In Chennai, the petrol costs Rs. 102.16 and the diesel costs Rs. 90.62 per liter respectively. 

Meanwhile, the price of diesel sold to bulk users has been hiked to Rs. 25 per liter due to a rise in international oil prices. 

Besides fuel prices, the LPG cylinders rate were also increased by Rs. 50 per cylinder.  With this, a 14.2 kg non-subsidized LPG cylinder would now cost Rs. 949.50 in Delhi.
