Mr. Elon Musk, the Chief Executive Officer of Tesla and owner of Twitter, confirmed the acquisition of the micro blogging site, Twitter.

On the 28th of October, Mr. Elon Musk confirmed that he is moving forward with the $44 billion deal and taking complete control of the social media platform. 

In a Twitter post, Elon Musk wrote, “Entering Twitter HQ – let that sink in.”  In addition, giving an idea about how Twitter space will be after the acquisition, Mr. Elon Musk said, “The reason I acquired Twitter is that it is important to the future of civilisation to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence.”

Mr. Elon Musk also issued an official statement addressing Twitteratis, about how the micro blogging site will be used and be a space for healthy debate not just random posts shared, especially trolling.

Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences! In addition to adhering to the laws of the land, our platform must be warm and welcoming to all,” said Mr. Elon Musk.

Moreover, Mr. Elon Musk also clarified the concerns of advertisers and said, “Advertising when done right, can delight, entertain and inform you; it can show you a survice, a product or  a medical treatment that you never knew existed, but is right for you.”

In addition,  after taking over the platform, the new owner fired Twitter CEO, Mr. Parag Agarwal.  Furthermore, Mr. Elon Musk also sacked the Legal Head of Twitter another Indian Mr Vijaya Gadde.   The new Twitter CEO would also sack approximately 7,500 staff of Twitter, including top officials like CEO and Legal Team Head.

It could be said that the Twitter Aqusiition by Mr. Elon Musk is the biggest deal of 2022, which has not only left netizens on edge but curious about the changes the Tesla CEO is going to make in the micro blogging site for users.
