Delhi: Enforcement DIrectorate named Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) president Aravind Kejriwal as prime accused in the Delhi liquor scam case. ED in its custody report stated that Vijay Nayar took Rs. 100 crores on behalf of Kezrival.

The ED also stated that liquor policy documents were found in the mobile phones of Kavitha’s auditor Buchi Babu even before it got approved by the state cabinet.

Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy who turned approver in the case stated that Kejriwal himself told him that he fixed a deal with Kavitha. Another approver Sarath Reddy also stated that Kejriwal asked him to work along with Nayar.

Special ED court granted 6 days custody and Kejriwal will be questioned until March 28, 2024. Shighwi, appearing for Kejriwal, argued that the case is politically motivated and a few accused were forcefully turned in as approvers. He alleged that the ruling party is trying to get the results even before conducting the polls.
