At the Delhi Airport, a high voltage drama occurred after an Indian National Congress (INC) leader Pawan Khera was deplaned from an aircraft.

On the 23rd of February, a few INC leaders staged a sit in protest near the aircraft, from which Mr. Pawan Khera was deboarded amid a luggage issue.

Addressing the media, Mr. Pawan Khera said, “”I was told that there is an issue with my baggage, though I only had hand baggage.  They told me you can’t fly.  Then they said the DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) will meet you.  I have been waiting for a long time. There is no sign of law and order.”

Meanwhile, the IndiGo airline issued a statement regarding the same.  “A passenger was deplaned by the police at the Delhi airport from Raipur-bound flight 6E 204.  Some other passengers have also decided to deboard on their own accord.  We are following the advice of the concerned authorities.  The flight is delayed as of now and we regret the inconvenience caused to other passengers.”

Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government, the INC leader called the incident a dictatorship of the PM Narendra Modi led Party.  Ms. Supriya Shrinate, the spokesperson of the INC said, “If he (Pawan Khera) has done anything wrong, initiate a probe against him.  What is the point of playing hide and seek?  This flight will not take off until all of us are allowed to board.”

Meanwhile, considering the ruckus and protests of the INC leader, the situation went out of control, unfolding a high voltage drama.

To control the situation, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was also deployed at the Delhi Airport.

It is to be noted, the INC leader Mr. Pawan Khera, along with others were going to Raipur, Chhattisgarh to attend a preliminary meeting of the Congress, scheduled to be held on the 24th of February.
