In a breaking news, Mr. Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Mr. Satyender Jain, the Health Minister of Delhi, submitted their resignation, respectively.

On the 28th of February, Tuesday, both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders submitted their resignation letters to Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi.

The developments came after the Supreme Court refused to entertain the plea of Mr. Manish Sisodia, seeking stay on the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe and arrest.  Notably, on the 26th of February, hours after interrogation, the CBI arrested Mr. Manish Sisodia in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.  Furthermore, on the 27th of February, Monday, a CBI court in Delhi remanded the Delhi Deputy CM to the CBI custody till the 4th of March.

Meanwhile, Mr. Satyender Jain, a Cabinet Minister in the AAP led Delhi Government, is also being investigated by the CBI into the Liquor Policy Scam.  He is currently remanded in the Tihar Jail.

Mr. Arvind Kejriwal has accepted the resignation of both the leaders and would send the letter to the Governor of Delhi Mr. V.K. Saxena.
