A Delhi Court once again extended the judicial custody of Mr. Manish Sisodia, the senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.

In the latest development, the court reviewed the plea of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and extended Sisodia’s Judicial custody till the 1st of June.

The judicial custody of the AAP leader Manish Sisodia has been extended in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise scam during the 2021-2022.  The judge also directed the jail authorities to consider providing the politician a chair and a table along with books inside the prison.

While  Manish Sisodia was being brought out of the courtroom, he told the media in reference to a bill to replace the Centre’s Ordinance on Delhi’s Services matter that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “does not believe in.  He also slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government who are dictating the police officials, allegedly misbehaved with Manish Sisodia.

It is to be noted, Mr. Manish Sisodia is in Tihar Jail, since his arrest in March, as he is the prime accused in the Delhi Excise Policy Scam.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are currently investigating the matter and questioning Manish Sisodia, who is in the police custody.
