Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister of India, on the 7th of April, called for a meeting to discuss the ongoing Nationwide lockdown.  The meeting is to discuss the action plan of the Central Government to fight the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Since the imposed lockdown is scheduled to end on the 15th of April, the Central Government and the various state governments are planning on the post lockdown actions to prevent the further spread of the virus.

During this meeting, Rajnath Singh discussed a few issues pertaining to the Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister of India, Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, Smriti Irani, the Textile Minister of India, Ram Vilas Paswan, the Minister of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution , Prakash Javadekar, the Broadcast Minister of India and other Union ministers attended the meeting held at the residence of Rajnath Singh.

However, the meeting did not specifically address anything about the extension of the lockdown, which is going to end on the 15th of April.  The final decision regarding the lockdown would be taken after a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As of now, the lockdown would end after 9 days, on the 15th of April.
