The Delhi Capitals (IPL team) player Mr. Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs. 12 lakh for violating the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct.

During an IPL match, on the 7th of April, in DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai, Delhi Capital’s Rishabh Pant-led DC took the side’s slow over-rate against Lucknow Super Giants.  The IPL released a statement regarding the same and said, The Delhi Capitals have been fined after they maintained a slow over-rate during their TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match against Lucknow Super Giants at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai on April 7.”  It further read, “As it was the team’s first offense of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to a minimum over-rate offenses, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant was fined ₹12 lakhs.”

Besides, in yesterday’s match, Delhi Capitals lost by six wickets to Lucknow Super Giants.  With this, Delhi Capitals lost the second match during the ongoing 2022 IPL series.

The 15th edition of the IPL started on the 26th of March and would continue till the 22nd of May.
