India’s Chandrayaan 3 is all set to lift off at 2:35 P.M., from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

On the 14th of July, Friday, the awaited mission of India would launch carrying the hopes of an entire nation.  A successful mission would make India the fourth nation to land on the Moon.

In the live update, the ISRO took to the Twitter and shared the update.  The tweet read, ”

Ahead of the launch, the ISRO started preparing for the launch prior,  with a critical 25 hours 30 minute countdown will be used to fill the rockets with cryogenic fuel and the Indian Space Research Organisation will be closely monitoring the process looking out for any fuel leak.

The moon lander Vikram would be perched on a GSLV Mark 3 heavy lift launch vehicle with the Bahubali rocket.  Renamed Launch Vehicle Mark 3 (LM-3), the GSLV stands 43.5 meters tall – half as high as Delhi’s Qutb Minar.  The journey will take over 40 days and the spacecraft is expected to make a safe landing on the Moon on the 23rd of August.

This is the third attempt of the  Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is keeping its fingers crossed, after its last moon mission in July 2019 went awry.  The Third Lunar Exploration Mission, Chandrayaan 3 is the third venture to the moon and the second to attempt a soft landing on its surface by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO.)

The nation is eagerly waiting for this smooth landing of the satellite on the surface of the Moon.   In this third attempt, the ISRO would use provision for landing at higher speeds and new technology for assessing the speed levels as the lander approaches the landing site on the moon.
