The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday searched the old offices of Jet Airways and the residence of its founder Naresh Goyal, in connection with an alleged bank fraud case involving Canara Bank.

CBI has registered a case against Jet Airways, Naresh Goyal, wife Anita Goyal and Ananda Shetty for duping banks to the tune of ₹538 crores.

Raids are on at seven location in Mumbai, which includes residences and offices of the accused and Jet Airways.

Jet Airways has suspended its operations in April 2019 due to a severe cash crunch and mounting debt. However, the airline was taken over by a consortium of Jalan-Kalrock in June 2021.
