On the morning of the 20th of June, the Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone.

The drone was found at the International Border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The drone was flying in the Rathua area of Hiranagar sector in Kathua, when the BSF soldiers shot it down at around 5:10 A.M., on the 20th of June.

Devender Singh, a Sub Inspector and BSF from 19 Battalion fired 8 rounds and shot down the drone.

According to sources, several weapons and a few ammunitions were recovered from the flying drone. The team recovered 1 M-4 US-made rifle, 2 magazines, 60 rounds of bullets and 7 grenades.

The drone was shot down 250 metres from the international border near outpost Pansar.

While Scrutinising the drone, the BSF officials recovered weapons and one Ali Bhai name on the payload of the drone.

It is assumed, delivery of the weapons was for Ali Bhai in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir.

It is an important note, in the past the BSF recovered similar weapons from Jaish e Mohammad, a Pakistani terrorist group terrorists.

It was a few months back, when the JeM terrorists were killed by the BSF soldiers during an infiltration attempt from across the border along the Line of Control (LoC.)

Flying of the drone to Indian territory is believed to be an act of Pakistani terrorist troops to spy on India’s Jammu and Kashmir area and smuggle arms to terrorists reading in Jammu and Kashmir.

This is not the first time, Pakistani Terrorist troops tried to smuggle arms, in the past also same attempts were made.

However, they were in vain, as Indian BSF shot down those drones too.

This is a developing story.

Stay tuned for further updates.
