The Bombay High Court (HC,) on the 1st of December, approved default bail plea of activist Ms. Sudha Bharadwaj.

The court granted bail plea to one of the main accused  in Elgar Parishad Bhima Koregaon case.  In 2018, activists Including P. Varavara Rao, a revolutionary writer from Hyderabad, Sudha Bharadwaj, Gautam Navlakha and others were arrested in the Bhima Koregaon Maoist plot against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Wednesday, the Bombay HC directed Ms. Sudha Bharadwaj’s lawyer to approach a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court regarding her approved bail conditions.  

According to sources, Activist Sudha Bharadwaj is going to appear before the NIA on the 8th of December.   It is to be said, on the 8th of December, the NIA would hear the bail plea and would decide on her bail conditions and decide her release.  While bail plea of Ms. Sudha Bharadwaj has been accepted by the Bombay HC, plea of other accused has been rejected. 

Meanwhile, as of now, Ms. Sudha Bharadwaj is in Byculla Women’s Prison in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
