Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, isolated himself after developing fever and sore throat since the 7th of June.

Mr. Kejriwal, on the 7th of June, after addressing a press meet and briefing about the current situation in Delhi due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, developed fever.

On the 8th of June, a Spokesperson of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP,) the ruling Government of Delhi confirmed the health condition of Mr. Kejriwal.  The AAP Spokesperson said  Mr. Arvind Kejriwal would take the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 test on the 9th of June.

The Spokesperson said, “He has (had) a mild fever and sore throat since Sunday afternoon. As advised by doctors, the Chief Minister will undergo COVID-19 test on Tuesday morning.” 

Mr. Kejriwal attended a meeting on the morning of the 7th of June to discuss the ongoing situation in Delhi due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

After Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, Delhi has the highest number of the Novel Coronavirus cases till the 8th of June.

Delhi has a total of 28,936 positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus, out of which 17,125 are active cases, 10,999 people are cured/discharged and 812 deceased.
