Delhi: Arrest of Arvind Kejriwal is result of his own actions, said social activist Anna Hazare. He responded to the arrest of Delhi chief minister Aravind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam case.

Hazare and Kejriwal worked together before the 2014 elections to make India corruption free. Hazare said that kejriwal once raised his voice against liquor and demanded prohibition, but the same person now got arrested in a liquor scam.

The 86 year old Hazare spoke to the media about the alleged liquor scam and arrest of Kejriwal from his native village Ralegav at Maharashtra.

Hazare said that he asked Kezriwal not to entertain any forms of corruption especially in liquor, but he ignored his suggestions.

Hazare said that he felt bad about the arrest of Kezriwal and said that power will make people greedy and attracted towards corrupt practices. Former supreme court judge Santosh Hegde commented that power has the capacity to turn anyone corrupt.
