Mr. A. Revanth Reddy, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC,) demanded the Telangana Government to immediately cancel Outer Ring Road (ORR) tenders in Hyderabad.

In a press meeting, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy said any bank would give Rs. 15,000 crores as a loan, and asked the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to take up the project under the government.  He asked the K. Chandrashekar Rao led State Government as to why it was showing haste in selling government properties.   Furthermore, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy alleged that the State Government had ignored the objections of NHAI over the tenders and giving opportunities to black listed companies.

He asked CM KCR and Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration Minister to speak up on this matter and why they are silent on the issue.  Mr. A. Revanth Reddy also asked that Outer Ring Road is worth Rs. 70,000 crores, but why and how it could be given on lease for 30 years for only Rs. 7,000 crores.

Mr. A. Revanth Reddy said, “While selling government assets, tenders should be called showing their minimum support price.  How can they bid for an ORR tender of Rs. one lakh crore without fixing a minimum price?  Banks are ready to give loans if the ORR contract is given.  In such a case, why give contracts to anyone?  Rs. 40 crores are spent per year for the maintenance of trees and plants around ORR.  Why are you not telling the names of the companies participating in the tenders?”

Meanwhile, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao and Mr. K.T. Rama Rao is yet to respond to the allegations and questions of the TPCC Chief A. Revanth Reddy.\
