On the 4th of March, Friday, at least 30 people were killed and more than 50 others injured after a bomb blast at Peshwar Mosque, in North-Western Pakistan. The blast was said to be a suicide attack when people were gathered for Friday Namaz at the mosque.

According to sources, the blast occurred at a Jamia mosque in the Qissa Khwani bazaar area today afternoon. While 50 received severe injuries, the condition of 10 is said to be very critical and is undergoing treatment at government hospitals.

The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar Ijaz Ahsan confirmed one police official was martyred. He further said that the attackers said to be terrorists, were trying to enter the mosque and when stopped, open-fired at the police officials in the city’s Qissa Khwani Bazaar. However, as of now, no terrorist group is claiming the attack.
