A Pune based activist Mr. Hemant Patil filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, on the 6th of May, Friday.

According to sources, the plea was filed, demanding a sedition case against the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Mr. Raj Thackeray, for creating nuisance and disturbance during his Aurangabad rally, on the 1st of May.  It is to be noted, for the past few days, Mr. Raj Thackeray and the MNS workers are creating a ruckus across the State of Maharashtra, demanding the removal of loudspeakers outside mosques.

In regard to this, he conducted public meetings, held rallies and ordered his workers to play “Hanuman Chalisa” on loudspeaker, wherever there are loudspeakers outside mosques.  He claimed the matter to be a national issue, due to which the people of Maharashtra are facing trouble.

Amid the ongoing political drama between Mr. Raj Thackeray and the Maha  Vikas Aghadi (MVA) led Maharashtra Government, the petitioner demanded a first information report (FIR) against the MNS Chief.  In his plea, Mr. Hemant Patil said, in his speech, Mr. Raj Thackeray spoke against the National Congress Party (NCP) Chief Mr. Sharad Pawar, which might bring unrest in the city, including violent protests.   The plea of Mr. Hemant Patil is likely to be heard by the Bombay High Court.
