The Andhra Pradesh Police has arrested two Bangladesh nationals, who were accused of trying to steal an ATM in the Gannavaram town of Krishna district.

On the 23rd of August, Tuesday, a six-member gang, hailing from the border of West Bengal and Bangladesh, allegedly were trying to steal the ATM, filled with cash, near a cinema hall named Apsara theater, in Gannavaram.  The members came in an auto rickshaw and were trying to steal the ATM, when a police constable Mr. Mahindra, on duty, suspected them.  The police team was immediately informed and the accused gang members were caught.  However, of the six members, four escaped from the police. 

After an initial investigation, the Andhra Pradesh police confirmed that the two arrested were Bangladeshi citizens and informed the Bangladesh embassy about it.  Meanwhile, a case has also been registered and a search operation to nab the absconding accused has been launched.
